Component 1: Master’s Degree
Over the past three years, APLUS Component 1: Master’s Program has worked to train 100 school leaders to receive a M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Texas principal certification and bilingual/ESL certification prepared to lead campuses and influence policy in districts that serve diverse learners, particularly English learners and economically challenged students.
Cohorts 1 & 2
Cohort 1 — 46 graduates in December 2019.
Cohort 2 — 50 graduates in Summer 2020.

Cohort 1 & 2 District Locations
Cohort 3
Cohort 3 will be enrolled from Fall 2020 to Fall 2021. In a collaborative effort with Houston ISD, APLUS recruited 10 in-service school leaders to be engaged in a one-half day service as an instructional coach and one-half day residency as a campus leader/administrator. These 10 in-service school leaders, who are from diverse ethnic groups and desire to lead high-needs diverse campuses, are in a Tier 2 teacher leadership position, such as instructional coordinators.
