Project Enhancing Quality Teacher Preparation Through Research-Based Instructional Best Practices for Bilingual and English Learners

Thanks to an Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) professional development and evaluation research grant, Project Enhancing Quality Teacher Preparation Through Research-based Instructional Best Practices for Bilingual and English Learners (EBEST) is helping prepare and certify Texas in-service teachers for the bilingual education or English as a second language (ESL) classroom. You are consenting to participate in an evaluation research project on the effectiveness of virtual observations and instructional coaching and mentoring. All teachers in the project will receive subsidized bilingual or ESL online certification prep courses and course materials (tablet, textbook, and headset), with opportunities for the reimbursement of their exam fees and earning professional development hours. Participation in this research-based project lasts up to 6 weeks for ESL certification and 12 weeks for bilingual certification.
