Dr. Rafael Lara-Alecio, professor of bilingual education in the Department of Educational Psychology, was named Higher Education Honoree by the Texas Association of Bilingual Education at its annual conference in El Paso.
This award recognizes people who have earned recognition, respect and admiration of bilingual educators, while making significant contributions and providing exemplary professional service to bilingual education in Texas.
Lara-Alecio heads the bilingual education program in the Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development.
