Exclusively for former or current Turn-Around Schools, Superintendents, District Personnel, Campus Administrators, Lead Teachers: You are cordially invited to attend the TAMU A-PLUS Summer Leadership Institute on June 9th and 10th, 2020. Time: 10 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

  • How Principals can Adapt for Turning Around Schools and What They Say to the District

  • Instructional Leadership Capacity Building: Functions of Leaders in Mentoring and Coaching (MC & VMC) From the Research

Cost

  • $75 non-refundable Registration Fee required. (The program cost is fully subsidized by the A-PLUS grant at $1,000 per participant).

Virtual Summer Leadership Institute II: Engaging in Critical Dialogues

Exclusively for Campus Leaders, Principals, Teachers, Counselors: You are cordially invited to attend the TAMU A-PLUS Summer Leadership Institute from June 10th – June 12th, 2020.

Synchronous Delivery: 9 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Participants will receive 45 hours of micro-credentials on the same day.

Asynchronous Delivery: Time is convenient to participants. Deadline to Complete: June 20, 2020

Live Webinars (synchronous) for first 150 individuals on June 10th – 12th. After that, the webinars will be asynchronous (recorded). You will receive a certificate for 45 hours after the completion of the institute.

Virtual Summer Leadership Institute III: Family Engagement for PK-6th Grade

Campus Leaders and Teachers: You are cordially invited to attend the TAMU A-PLUS Summer Leadership Institute on Family Engagement for PK-6th Grade on June 15th – 17th, 2020. 

For Administrators, Educators, Teacher Leaders, Pre-Service Teachers, Parents, Bilingual and ESL Education Teams in PK-6.

This Institute is specifically focused on school, family, and community partnerships. These are pre-recorded webinars. Participants will receive 45 hours of intensive training as a micro-credential upon completion.

Who Is Invited

  • Participants should include those interested in Professional Learning Communities, Peer Coaching, Virtual Mentoring and Coaching, Research-Based Teacher Strategies. 

What is Planned?

  • V-SLI IV (Day 1) – Engaging in Peer Coaching Introduction to & Techniques of Peer Coaching, Peer Coaching Model; Peer Coaching in an Emergency Situation (such as Covid-19); Practicing Peer Coaching.
  • V-SLI V (Day 2) – Techniques of Mentoring and Coaching Leaders Introduction to Mentoring & Coaching (BOOK Handbook of Mentoring and Coaching in Leadership); Coach as Mentor; Coach as Collaborator; The Principal as Coach.
  • V-SLI VI (Day 3) – PLCs Introductions to PLCs; What is a MOOPIL? What is VPLC and Using MOOPILS for VPLC; Tips & Instructions on Making a MOOPIL; Certificate Information.

Cost

  • $75 non-refundable Registration Fee required. (The program cost is fully subsidized by the A-PLUS grant at $1,000 per participant).
  • $30 per day for each V-SLI and $75 for all three combined.
