Dr. Beverly J. Irby was inducted as a fellow on September 19, 2016 into the International Society for Design and Development in Education (ISDDE) at its annual meeting in Utrecht, Amsterdam. This organization is a select group of scholars from across the world dedicated to raising the quality of design of educational processes and materials. ISSDE was formed to help this group work effectively as a coherent professional design and development community. The goals of the society are to improve the design and development process, build a design community, and increase our impact on educational practice.

The fellows are designer and project leaders with outstanding records, together with representatives from agencies and foundations that fund such work. She is the Co-Director of the Center for Research & Development in Dual Language & Literacy Acquisition (CRDLLA) in the Department of Educational Psychology and Director for the Education Leadership Research Center (ELRC) in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development.

Dr. Rafael Lara-Alecio is also a fellow in ISDDE and was inducted in 2015.
