Dr. Fuhui Tong, associate professor of bilingual education and associate director of the Center for Research & Development in Dual Language and Acquisition (CRDLLA), was selected as the 2015 Early Career Award recipient for the Bilingual Education Research Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA).

The award recognizes the research and teaching accomplishments of bilingual education scholars early in their academic careers.

Dr. Tong will be presented with the award at the SIG’s meeting later this year at the annual AERA conference.

“This award is very much deserved,” said Dr. Rafael Lara-Alecio, CRDLLA director. “Dr. Tong does cutting-edge research. Her work is well cited in top journals at the national and international levels. We are very excited for her.”
